Every adult (18+), both staff and volunteers, who will be interacting with campers is required to provide a current and position-specific Police Vulnerable Sector Check PRIOR to attending camp.
Camp staff are carefully selected based upon their prior experiences working or volunteering in similar positions working with children.
All staff are required to have a minimum Standard First Aid/CPR-C.
Our camps maintain a minimum of a 1:8 supervision ratio of staff to campers to ensure camper safety.
Yes, someone else is able to pick up your child for camp if they have been pre-approved in writing on your child's camp forms prior to that day.
Names and phone numbers of adults dropping off and picking up campers are recorded by staff. Photo ID is required at camper pick-up.
We will make every effort to ensure that your child's dietary needs are met. Please make us aware of any dietary needs the week before your child attends camp so that we are able accomodate them.
Mount Baldy Summer Camps will be following all provincial guidance for camp settings. This currently includes daily camper screening at drop-off, cohort-groupings and masking on buses. Parents will be notified of any current requirements prior to their child's arrival at camp.
To ensure the safety of campers, the ski area is closed to the public during camp hours. Parents/guardians are asked not to travel further than the parking lot.
If you would like to volunteer with your child's camp, a Police Vulnerable Sector Check will be required at your cost. Contact us at [email protected] if you are interested.
Thank you for bringing your question to our attention. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
